Collection: Just My Type

Growing up on a ranch near Missoula, Montana, Donna has always loved working with her hands.  Her Just My Type business has sprung from those roots: she’s a maker, fixer-upper, and re-user.  Donna’s rural background fostered a sensitivity to aged, worn materials.  Favorite media have always been fiber-based – paper crafts, book arts, sewing, quilting, weaving.  

Donna learned bookbinding at Hollanders School of Paper and Book Arts in Ann Arbor, Michigan over twenty years ago and has since built hundreds of journals, sketchbooks and planners.  Just My Type offers unique, handcrafted books from upcycled and vintage elements—wood, game boards, discarded books, vintage papers, junk mail, fabrics, music scores—the list of recycled treasures is almost endless.  

From her home in Missoula, Donna is retired but highly active, not only with Just My Type but with gardening, watercolor painting, and writing.  Working at Skyline Ranch where she grew up keeps her in shape.
